By Miles charge a fixed cost that covers a car while it’s parked. The rest is based on the actual miles driven. Customers can either plug in the matchbox-sized Miles Tracker, or for newer cars, you can connect By Miles directly with your car’s mileometer.

I’ve been with by miles for a year now and I think they are fantastic. Easy to communicate with and they have a great app which helps you to see exactly how much each journey costs. I’ve just had my renewal email and what I pay is going down per mile. I’ve found this insurance very helpful in the times when I didn’t have very much money. If you are looking for a decent priced insurance, this is the place for you. I don't drive loads so it works out really cheap for me. I've not had to make a claim yet so can't comment on that aspect but the customer service is responsive and helpful. The app is great too. I can't fault By Miles. By Miles is a new & unique way of providing insurance for low mileage road user. You only pay for what you drive. And even if you drive more, there's a 150miles cap, which I think is brilliant. Overall, a happy customer. Reviewed on: 11th August 2022
