By Miles charge a fixed cost that covers a car while it’s parked. The rest is based on the actual miles driven. Customers can either plug in the matchbox-sized Miles Tracker, or for newer cars, you can connect By Miles directly with your car’s mileometer.

As I only drive a few miles a week, this model of pay-by-mile model works for me and evidently for others too. Not only is the insurance cheap, but is well rounded and comprehensive and when I had to get in contact about a smashed window the customer service was quick, friendly and top notch.
