By Miles charge a fixed cost that covers a car while it’s parked. The rest is based on the actual miles driven. Customers can either plug in the matchbox-sized Miles Tracker, or for newer cars, you can connect By Miles directly with your car’s mileometer.

Best value insurance

By miles is by far the best value car insurance we have come across. It works well for us as a family living in London we don't use our car on a regular basis. The insurance only charges you based on how much you drive. Also incentifies you to drive less to reduce polution. Reviewed on: 9th August 2022

I have been with by miles for 2 years and have loved the experience I have had with them. They are easy to contact whether that be via call or text (which is super helpful) and it makes me aware of how much I am driving each month. Best and most convenient policy I’ve ever had. Been with for 3 years. Will stay with for the foreseeable future. Literally pay for what you drive. Some months my car is home I don’t use much so my payments are close to nothing. Convenient when you are away on holidays etc and your car is not in use.
