By Miles charge a fixed cost that covers a car while it’s parked. The rest is based on the actual miles driven. Customers can either plug in the matchbox-sized Miles Tracker, or for newer cars, you can connect By Miles directly with your car’s mileometer.

An everybody-wins strategy

Come on, why didn't someone start doing this sooner? There's no point me paying for insurance when my car is idle at home, so I feel like I get a much better deal with ByMiles. It makes me conscious about when I drive, and encourages me to use my bike more, as it's not like I've already paid for the insurance to be on the road. After being off the road for few years I lost my no claims bonus and all the insurance companies were charging a fortune to get me covered and I gear about this bymiles...I not only saved money in my monthly payments I only pay for what I drive ... sounds so fair.. thanks for this insurance company to make driving affordable for me... Great for low mileage drivers

Have used By Miles since the pandemic as not used car much - did take a break and went with another provider due to travelling distance for new job - but came back after contract ended - easy to app - keeps track of all trips etc due to tracker device - even got per mile discount for being loyal customer Reviewed on: 21st September 2022

Best Car insurance provider

I've been with by Miles car insurance for 3 years. I've never had any issues and they have been amazing every renewal offering the lowest cost and best service. I have shopped about each year before renewing and nowhere is as cheap. Each year my yearly cost and price per miles has reduced. I'm fully comprehensive and my no years claims are protected. I am so glad I found by Mile's insurance. I have a little black box that is plugged into my car which records my Miles used. I've never had any issues at all with the device. The app is also great as you can check your milage usage and cost. You can see a record of usage each month, along with you premium, you can also check how much a journey will cost using the app. I will be staying with by Miles as they are amazing. Cheap but good CS & comes with in app tracking

Cost wise, by miles is among the cheapest if you don’t drive a long way to work everyday. But besides cost, the best thing about by miles is its CS and app. Very helpful and easy to use. The app even offers a tracking and remote diagnosis tool out of the box, so I don’t need to spend extra for them. Reviewed on: 21st September 2022
