Insure to be sure

I searched many insurance company policies before finally settling for my policy with CAMCC. The reviews from those who have had to make a claim sealed the deal. Although there were cheaper policies on paper the cover provided was not to the same standard. I pay my insurance with the sincere hope I never need it but I know if I do I have the best policy and claims process out there and that's not sales pitch it's personal experience reviews. A Disaster Turned Into Triumph

Within 10 minutes of starting a weekend away, our caravan (2014 Model) spontaneously combusted as we were travelling along the M56 motorway. Within 60 seconds of stopping the fire punched a hole in the wall of the caravan and destroyed the whole van in minutes. Fortunately, my wife is a meticulous list keeper so we knew exactly what was inside. The resulting insurance claim was therefore merely a matter of filling in the simple claim and pricing the replacement cost of the items on the list. The claim and contents lists were submitted to the Club's insurer and we sat back to wait for an expected interrogation. We had a 'New for Old' policy so expected some questioning. None came. We had a couple of phone calls to clarify exactly how events unfolded, but not a question about the condition of the caravan or the contents, despite nothing being identifiable from the pile of ash swept up from the motorway. After about 4 weeks we were asked if we wanted a new replacement caravan or the cash alternative. We chose the cash, and a cheque for the full amount of the new replacement value duly arrived about 10 days later. As a result we had much more cash in our bank than had been expended on the lost van. A brilliant pain free, fair settlement in line with the terms of the policy we had purchased, and totally hassle free. Renewal process

We pay our insurance monthly by direct debit. We don't need to do anything when the renewal time comes around, the price always seems reasonable so we just let them get on with it. Reviewed on: 6th September 2017

Value for Money

Looked around for Caravan insurance & opted for The Caravan & Motorhome Club, not the cheapest I could find but gives the best benefits, well worth paying a little extra for peace of mind, a trusted & honest Club. Reviewed on: 6th September 2017

Better cover for less than you think

We had previously had a quote from the then Caravan Club but found them expensive, but in recent years they are highly competitive on price and well in the lead for a quality product and service. We have even switched our house insurance to them. Reviewed on: 6th September 2017
