I went with O2 drive for my first years insurance as they offered me the best deal. 10 months on I’ve had nothing but problems. I have a black box, whenever checking my score my awareness and acceleration are well below 50/100 when my speed and time of driving are 98/100, I happened to meet a girl who lives around 120 miles from me, who was insured by the same people and she had the exact same issue! I have since changed my car and have got a new box for the car, and the exact same thing happens (so can’t have been a fault with the box). I live in a hilly area, it’s like I’m expected to drive around without being allowed to touch the breaks or drive up a hill...

I wished I read the customer review before purchase. I was hit by a new driver and after taking the details and forwarding me to Enterprise, I soon realised that they are not trying to resolve my claim. After many phone calls to them without a reasonable answer I finally lost my temper. A few days later I relieved a email saying that I need to contact their underwriter (The co-op) and take my claim up with them. In the end I gave up and paid for the repairs myself. I am finding a better company as soon as my contract ends even if it costs more. ABSOLUTELY RUBBISH COMPANY. Cheap and trashy.

O2 drive cancelled our policy 3 weeks into our contract and wanted to put it up by £140 more a month!!!!!!! It was £22... Flabbergasted is not the word! It’s a Vauxhall!
Apparently we forgot to mention we had contacted Northumbria water about a damaged tyre from a pothole!
I would not recommend them at all, poor service.

In over 20 years of driving, this has been my worst experience with an insurance firm. O2 Drive is provided by a company called BISL; they took a seond payment from my credit card without permission (nearly doubling the premium), were unwilling/unable to check the CUE database once information had been updated, rebuffed several attempts at providing information they requested, and have wasted hours and hours of my life. Their customer support team are locally based, accessible and friendly, and are helpful within the rules and procedures available. However, were it not for their escalation team (CW, thank you), I would currently be taking legal action. The company is broken - internal departments don't work together and I found myself fobbed off and frustrated.
Never, never, never again.

Been with o2 insurance for over a year paying ridiculuously Hugh car insurance rate I had a crash it’s was a 2014 car air bags went off but mainly just new bumper and that drives absolutely fine they not only wrote it off but did not provide me with a rental car causing me to lose my job and also be homeless as I could not get anywhere they then refused to pay out the money they owed me leaving me completely stuck o2 are absolutely shit and avoid going with them at any cost

Honestly cannot tell you how much they have run me up the walls and had me back and forth.

O2 car insurance is the worst thing I ever took out - I wish I paid the extra for it. The customer service is absolute dog sh*t and they dont listen, just transfer you from pillar to post. I had to make a claim with them due to hailstorm damage and due to the amount of numbers on their website, turns out I never even reported it to them - apparently my underwriter?! Even though I took the number off the O2 car insurance claims website.

They then cancelled on me for getting black flags because I was driving 41/42 in a 40!!! Then once they cancelled on me, I had to pay out!! I then got a letter about 3 weeks later stating how I must pay 411 and that I owe them this. I have been back and forth on the phone with them about this and they are just getting stupid, they keep transferring me off to the wrong people. JUST LET ME PAY THIS AND GET OUT OF THIS AWFUL COMPANY. DO NOT EVER USE THIS. THEY ARE THE WORST. I WISH I READ THE REVIEWS!!!!!!!!!!!!

Very poor service when I needed to change my car: gave me a quote for the new one that was nearly double the cheapest alternative, and 40% more than o2 themselves quoted via an insurance comparison site. The rep was completely uninterested and there was no sense they were interested in keeping me as a customer. I chose to pay the cancellation fee on my policy and go elsewhere, and still saved a lot of money! Not a great attitude towards their customers - thank God I didn't have to make a claim; I shudder to think what they would have been like to deal with.

Pity there's no option to give no stars.My daughters partner took out insurance with O2. He's been stopped twice for not having insurance, apparently not on the database. First time he contacted them about it they made some ridiculous excuse about a delay putting it on ( over 2 months) but they assured him it would be done. Lo and behold he got pulled by the police again a month or so later for no insurance. So he got onto them again and they came back with the explanation that there was a problem with the underwriters. They then said it would cost him an extra £1200 to sort out, go figure. End result insurance cancelled and taken out with a proper insurer

My son took a policy with this company.He was hit by a fail to stop driver that is captured on cctv but can’t make the Registration number out. The police were happy he was not at fault .He’s lost his car as it was written off. As there was no other party to claim off O2 drive added on an additional £400 to his excess as he’s a young driver and are charging him almost £600 to close his policy. No one sold him legal cover either. He has paid 02 drive over £2000 in insurance for nothing.
The policies have more twists and add ons that are beyond belief. I believe they are selling young people insurance like bank loans and when they really need cover you don’t provide it and to add insult to injury they add on more cost.
Inexperienced people selling rotten policies to kids!

I came to O2Drive through a quote through compare the market.com (CTM.COM) and completed all necessary information (CTM.COM) including details of a previous claim. The insurance quote was marginally better than my previous company and so I accepted the quote, only to get a bill two weeks later for another £56 in a letter saying that I hadn't disclosed information of my previous claim, which I did. When I complained they said that CTM.COM quote didn't have any record of my previous claim but it was recorded and I had a screen shot of this. They still won't budge, and wouldn't cancel the insurance without £60 charge and further charges for use of the insurance. I'm absolutely furious with them as through chaining to them my insurance has now increased over staying with my existing company. I would not recommend them. Please tread carefully.

They will cancel your insurance and this can affect your policy for future insurance companies. Your driver like myself it’s a NEVER AGAIN. Don’t do it to yourself even if your saving some money, not worth the hassle honestly.
