Reassuring to know that we have the backing of a trusted organisation!

In 30+ years of owning caravans we have yet to make a claim, something that, of course, we are delighted about! We feel assured though, that if ever we needed to call upon our ‘van insurance, we would be backed by the Caravan and Motor Home Club, in whom we trust, to come to our aid when we are in difficulty. CMC still collect Ins premiums for Lunar caravans knowing they can by-pass liability for certain types of fault.

Very disappointing outcome from insuring through CMC. We had a Lunar caravan and it cracked severely due to a 'supposed' over tightening (of a screw) manufacturing defect. CMC insurance (Devitts) said the liability was on Lunar, who of course no longer exist. Having shifted liability to an obsolete company CMC (Devitts) said they were NOT paying out. They were very happy however to take our annual premium for 2 years knowing they had this 'loophole' in their back pocket in case a fault happened on a lunar caravan. Disgusting and covert practice to have, and continue to have (assuming they haven't changed their policy) for owners of Lunar caravans. Reviewed on: 8th September 2023
