Professional and friendly

We only use sites that are managed by the Caravan and Motorbike Club as we enjoy the spotless amenities, well kept sites and friendly and helpful staff. Nothing is too much trouble for them and they go the extra mile to help. We have recommended family and friends to the Club and they too have been as impressed as we are. Reviewed on: 3rd July 2020

Excellent service since moving to C&MC 2 years

In 2018 I had a gap between selling previous caravan and taking delivery of new one so cancelled insurance. When I went back to renew insurance I felt I was being made to jump through hoops with a company I had dealt with for many years. Decided to try C&MC insurance and have not regretted it. Outstanding Service

Last year, I had to make a claim against our CAMC Caravan Cover after someone fired an air rifle at our van whilst on site, causing £1500 worth of damage. The staff at Devitt's were professional, understanding and sympathetic when I submitted the claim and within less than 24 hrs, an assessor arrived at our home to inspect the van and immediately authorised the necessary repairs by our dealer in Cumbria. After a couple of weeks, it transpired that there was a delay in getting the necessary spares from Germany which I reported to Devitt's. I understand that they put the assessor on the case and whilst I don't know what was said, or to whom, the spares miraculously turned up within a couple of days. At the conclusion of the repairs, I submitted an email claim to Devitt's for the fuel used in transporting the van to and from the repairer, in accordance with the terms of the insurance. I received a cheque (by post!) within 48 hrs of submitting that claim which was actually for more than I had claimed due to their method of calculating the costs. Throughout the process, I firmly believed that the staff at Devitt's were 'fighting my corner' and doing everything within their power to ensure my total satisfaction with the process - exactly what an insurance company should be doing - but sadly not always the case. Needless to say, I had no hesitation in renewing my CAMC cover this year and was delighted to see that the cost had remained more or less the same as last year. In addition - I have also had occasion to make one or two variations on the conditions attached to my policy and this has been easily achieved with a quick phone call to a very helpful member of staff who implemented the changes - and without the imposition of an 'admin fee'. I cannot speak too highly of the supportive and helpful nature of everyone I have spoken to in connection with my caravan insurance to the extent that I would not, now, consider going to any other insurer.
