Everyone needs this savings app

Chip has been incredible at saving money whether it’s for a weekend away or now for saving for a deposit. It’s great that it just takes money out of your account each week but it only takes how much it knows you won’t miss, so without even knowing it, I’m creating a nice little pot of money to go towards a house, and I don’t even know I’m saving it until I look at the app and see my money go up. Such a clever idea. The app calculates the amount I can afford to save - based on what I might spend on an impulse buy at the shops/regular spending habits - and tucks it away. I’m amazed at how much I have saved in such a short time, and haven’t noticed it at all. My family summer holiday is paid for. A great idea, a great app. Reviewed on: 10th March 2021

Brilliant Savings Rate

At a time when the Bank base rate caused a tumble in the interest rates offered to most savings accounts, Chip offered a great interest rate on a fair chunk of savings (up to £5000). You have to be mentioned by someone with a Chip Account to get an account but it is not too difficult to do. I look forward to what they may do soon with regard to the investment market.
