Top savings app with great UI

Chip's savings AI is fantastic and helps me to put money aside each month without really noticing. The app offers a seamless user experience and the rates on their Chip+1 account are market leading. A great, innovative company with a bright future. Reviewed on: 10th March 2021

So easy to use!

Chip is super easy to use. You link your bank account and Bob’s you uncle, it’s all sorted for you! Couldn’t recommend Chip more. Reviewed on: 10th March 2021

Easy way to save

For free have a saving account with 1.25% interest on up to £2000, or £1.50 every 28 days on upto £5000. With paying version set up the AI to move money from your bank into saving without you feeling the saving but getting the benefit of saving towards a goal. Does take 3 working days for the money to register into Chip and a slight delay in the money being withdrawn but with planning no issues there. Reviewed on: 10th March 2021

The simplest, easiest, best way to save money, painlessly!

The automatic savings make sure I pay myself regularly but never leave me short whereas before Chip i struggled to put away anything. Chip calculates how much I can afford to stash away and I've never missed any of the money the AI saves. Its amazing. The +1 rate is unbeatable too. Highly recommend. Reviewed on: 10th March 2021

Unethical business

Chip was off to a great start, but then started to mess with its customers since late 2020/ early 2021. Chip heavily advertised the Chip+1 account (which promised 1.25% interest on up to £5,000). However, after customers have shared this with their friends & families and signed up (you need to bring a “+1” to join), they unilaterally enrolled everyone into their “Chip AI” trial without their consent. Chip then forced everyone (who were still within their free trial) into paying the subscription of £1.50 per 28 days by updating their T&Cs. Alternatively, customers can manually downgrade from “Chip AI” to “Chip Lite” but only earn 1.25% interests on up to £2,000. Chip has managed to make a simple product so convoluted. I am also worried that they are also misleading its customers with their bait advertising & automatically enrolling their customers into a higher plan. I will be closing my Chip account soon. Easy saving machine

Easy, hassle-free way to save

I am not the best conscious saver and have been using Chip for 2 years now, linked to my current account and the auto saves and payday payment options have helped me save money I would have otherwise squandered. Can't recommend them highly enough. Reviewed on: 10th March 2021
