Collingwood provide insurance for learner drivers, taxi drivers and couriers.

New driver cover is only available to existing Collingwood learner driver customers after passing the practical driving test. Taxi insurance can be for annual or short-term cover and courier insurance cover is for food and parcel delivery drivers.

Friendly and efficient

I went for this company as it was the cheapest on price comparison. I had a few queries so called to speak to an adviser. I have had to call them 3 times and on each occasion I got through very quickly and spoke to very friendly and efficient staff. Nothing appeared too much bother. Hidden £35 Fee for passing test

My son paid for twelve months of insurance. He only used 10 months of this before he passed and has made no claims. This insurance is specifically aimed at learner drivers who will cancel as soon as they pass their test. There is no option to continue the insurance with Collingwood but once you let them know you have passed you are liable for a £35 cancellation fine. I am okay with not getting the extra two months refunded because that was a cost we had already accounted for but to try and get £35 for cancelling a policy which will always be cancelled by every learner is unacceptable.
