Ethical, and so Supportive !

I love saving with a building society that does specific, practical things for the environment, and for housing (both so badly needed). Ethical - no investments in bombs or fossil fuels! The people who work for it are lovely! When I ring up to ask questions, I always get patient, friendly help and clear answers. Sure, the interest rate offered is modest - but this is outweighed by the peace of mind Ecology Building Society offers its customers. Reviewed on: 10th November 2024

Mutual aid always

I have been with the Ecology for more years than I can remember. Their ethical foundation is a fine example of money working for good. I can manage my account online so I don't lose touch with my investment. Reviewed on: 7th April 2021

Responsive, friendly, professional, competent

Since banks have increasingly moved online, the Ecology Building Society has maintained a high standard of personal contact banking by phone or email. Their customer service is faultless and their administration is efficient. They are also very good at keeping you informed of changes and of developments that may be of interest without trying to sell you anything. And, of course, they are devoted to a sustainable future for all. I wish we had a branch in our town! Reviewed on: 7th April 2021

Decent rates, ethical values, would recommend.

I've been an investor with Ecology for a many years. The rates for ISAs are competitive, the underlying values of the Society drive their behaviours and they walk the talk. Their website is functional and does everything I need. They are an early adopter of green credentials and I intend to invest with them for the foreseeable future. Reviewed on: 7th April 2021

I have saved with Ecology Building Society for a number of years because: I support its purpose of lending to support more environmentally friendly communities and eco-homes; savings rates are competitive; the Society provides informative newsletters about its work and interesting members' AGM/day; it lives out its mission in an impressive way its own operations..
