Ethical, and so Supportive !

I love saving with a building society that does specific, practical things for the environment, and for housing (both so badly needed). Ethical - no investments in bombs or fossil fuels! The people who work for it are lovely! When I ring up to ask questions, I always get patient, friendly help and clear answers. Sure, the interest rate offered is modest - but this is outweighed by the peace of mind Ecology Building Society offers its customers. Reviewed on: 10th November 2024

always helpful and a great ethical society

we had a self build mortgage tailored to our individual needs in 2010 and now are regular savers with the society, who are providing a mortgage for our daughter. Ecology are always sensitive to their client's needs and can tailor their products to help. Being ethically sound is a huge bonus. Reviewed on: 14th March 2021

Many congratulations from a new 'Green' customer

I am a newly appointed Treasurer for a local branch of the Green Party. Our only bank account is with the EBS and I have found them endlessly patient and helpful in explaining how the account works and what I need to do. A remarkable organisation!

I joined the Ecology BS and opened two savings accounts more than ten years ago because I supported their principles. I have found they provide excellent service while promoting ecological design and sound investment principles. I follow their progrss with great interest and have attended one of their AGMs. I admire the way they have adapted to the new ways of working during this last year and have continued to offer an excellent service. It must have been tough. I really want them to get this award as they deserve it. We need the Ecology in this time of financial hardship and climate change. Reviewed on: 14th March 2021

Amazing AGMs

I try to attend the Ecolgy AGM whenever possible as the business session is kept to a minimum and the extra events are always fascinating, educational & enjoyable. It's justa great day out. No other building society of which I am a member compares to The Ecology. My savings accounts are efficiently administered and I am kept well informed about changes. Reviewed on: 13th March 2021
