Fidorbank customer service ignoring my pleas for help

1
I was stranded in the Philipines during lockdown and lost my Fidorbank Creditcard and bank details,i also no longer had access to my email adress i contacted Fidorbank customer service for help and to give me information on my account, balance details etc, although i attached a copy of my passport and a signed declaration, they just ignored me saying that i have to email them from my registered email adress which i no longer have access to! terrible customer service and lack of compassion. No change

1
I've been invited to update on my previous review. Basically, no change, it's still a dreadful excuse for a bank. It's great for keeping one or 2 pounds in, you can then book pay on arrival hotels and sign up for free trials of Amazon Prime with no danger of being charged if you forget to cancel in time. Other than the above, they are still promising the same things coming soooooon that they've been promising for the last 4 years, and seem no closer to delivering. After a promising start, a spectacular failure to deliver. Reviewed on: 24th April 2019

Good for a Laugh

1
The most useless, incompetent, disfunctional bank. They don't offer even the basics expected from a modern bank, like direct debits, standing orders, saved payee lists, iban, proper faster payments. As they onlw process payments 8am to 5 pm Monday to Fiday excluding bank and public holidays, a "faster payment" made at 6pm on the Thursday befpre Good Friday will actually take 5 days to be actioned. One of their latest innovations is to offer fixed rate savings bonds @ 0% whilst their current account pays 0.03%. As it says in the title, they are good for a laugh, but a serious bank they are not. Fidor Offering

1
Fidor bank have zero product offering and zero banking features, which are more or less non existent. Smart Fidor are not. They have a community forum, propped up 75% by Fidor employees. Fidor should have their banking licence revoked. Stay clear. Reviewed on: 18th January 2019

Worst "Bank" I've ever dealt with.

1
Nothing but empty promises, terrible customer support, useless forum full of fake shill accounts operated by Fidor UK staff who don't have a clue about their own bank. A complete sham of a bank - stay away from this shambles. Reviewed on: 9th August 2018

NOT A BAD BANK REALLY

Lots of negative points about this bank but lets face it if you dont like it go back to them rip off high street banks then you be moaning, Fidor bank is a perfect bank account if your wanting a bank with no credit card or loan or over draft facilities (if you want this go to high street rip off banks), direct debits are coming in December then it will be the perfect little online bank there is plenty of online banks outhere that charge a fortune to use it some charge £20 a month plus fees to use their services, my wages go in this bank and i can use the debit card... Perfect!!! some people want more more more never satisfied Reviewed on: 24th September 2016

Launched well before it was ready

2
Nice idea, totally ridiculous execution. The basic functionality on the account at present really makes it little more than a savings account... Even paying in money is a struggle. The website is OK but not revolutionary. I'll check back in five years once some of the baseline functionality exists. I fear Fidor will be eclipsed by Atom and Mondo in that time. Poor

1
Very poor experience. Was tempted by the high interest rate on offer but the customer service was sadly lacking. They are a foreign bank and do not seem geared to the UK market Reviewed on: 28th March 2016

Awful

1
Appalling. Launched without full banking facilities available, ridiculous amounts of ID required to open an account, forced to join their 'community' whether you want to or not. Interest rates are competitive but the 'community' is pretentious and rather patronising and the 'listening to customers' claim a very tired cliché. Reviewed on: 25th March 2016

Not really ready yet

I echo a few of the other reviews about Fidor bank on here. The idea is great but it needs a bit more time before it becomes a great product. Reviewed on: 25th February 2016
