Best stock trading app for beginners

For me, Freetrade is the perfect stock trading app for new investors. With a simple and intuitive dashboard, you can quickly see how your stocks, ETFs and commodity investments are doing. If you're looking for ideas there's a 'Discover' section which groups stocks by themes e.g. Popular this week, AI & Robotics, New US Stocks, etc. In terms of pricing, you choose from 3 monthly price plans (Basic, Standard or Plus) and there's no % commission taken on stock trades - this is what FreeTrade's competitors do, which can add up if you do multiple trades a month. A nice addition is the 3% interest that FreeAgent pays on cash balances up to £4000, if you're on the Plus plan. This is actually better than most savings accounts. Reviewed on: 27th February 2023

Fool proof investing

Brilliant app, makes share buying easy.

I really like how Freetrade's app is so easy to use, with clear price charts and stats with dividend yield and P/E ratio. I also like how the app is set up towards investing, not day trading, and that you can buy lots of shares without paying any commission, unlike most other apps. Reviewed on: 21st February 2023
