Easy to use, transparent and good community

Really easy to to use app, company is good at giving out updates all the time and has a great community behind that is able to help and answer questions and generally chat to. Reviewed on: 19th February 2023

Best retail investor app

Freetrade’s user interface is the best of all other apps I’ve tried (and used). Offer a good amount of insights and have an affordable premium tier that gives access to more stocks and insights features. Reviewed on: 19th February 2023

Moved to far from original free platform

Although freetrade are a great company and I've not had any problems as such I feel they have moved way too far away from their orginal aim. Most options need pay-accounts and so little is now available on the free account that the name is barely appropriate anymore. Other apps offer more and the App user-interface needs A LOT of work! Pop-up messages for one just dissapear into the ether! Reviewed on: 18th February 2023

Still the best platform for buying/selling without per transaction trading fees

5
I've been with Freetrade for a number of years now and find the service to be consistently stable with no downtime or outages. The latest pricing structure for ISAs is extremely generous but by far the best feature of Freetrade is that the trades themselves are free rather than ~£10 per buy and sell like with other providers. I only wish Freetrade were faster at rolling out new features and new account types such as JISAs and LISAs. They risk being left behind as so many new competitors are joining this space. Best for the average person

If you're investing huge amounts of money, I'm sure there are brokers that offer many extra features for a higher trading fee. For those looking to save every penny possible, but don't mind putting in a little extra work, Freetrade is absolutely perfect. New features are few and far between, and it doesn't offer every stock in the world, but for those looking to get started with a small or medium amount of cash, the platform has everything it needs to function, and with three tiers of pricing so you can work your way up as you built out your pot. I'm very glad they exist. Reviewed on: 17th February 2023
