Great and easy to use platform with low investing fees

Freetrade is a great platform to use for investors. It has a transparent fee system with more than reasonable prices. The app is very easy to use and the team are consistently adding new and exciting features which are always welcome. The main areas of improvement for the app I would suggest would surround the UX. The main graph you see when you open the app should be changed to be more useful and not include the effects of deposits and withdrawals as this makes the graph useless and incomprehensible to read. This is the first thing you see when you open the app so it should be of use to the user. This is my main gripe with the app, other than this and other minor UX issues I am more than happy with the app. Reviewed on: 18th January 2021

Easy to use, free trading

Better investing

Now that I'm not paying £10 a transaction, I can buy my position in companies in smaller portions. It's completely changed my style and I'm better off for it. The support and community are excellent. Can't wait for the SIPP. Reviewed on: 18th January 2021

No longer Free

I started investing with wealthify and freetrade a year ago. Both these apps where amazing to go over my biases against investing and I thank them for it. Now, Freetrade this year transitioned to a profitable model without taking into consideration the small investors like myself in their platform. First, they added new stocks. Then, they added new stocks only available to premium accounts. So far so good. Finally, they took away access from free accounts to some of their initial stocks. I found myself not being able to deal stocks that I've been owning and following for a year. That's what I never understood and that's the reason behind this vote. I'm slowly transitioning out of freetrade and i expect to delete my account in 3/6 months time. Reviewed on: 18th January 2021
