Appalling when you need to claim

All the good reviews for this company are from people who haven't needed to claim. The claims management is dealt with a different company called Global Response. Check out their reviews on trust pilot etc if you want to see how they deal with their customers. My dad had a policy with Goodtogo and fell ill and died on holiday. We have a claim outstanding with them since mid-November. It is straightforward and involves medical treatment approved at the time, a hotel extension agreed to whilst waiting for new flights, and repatriation costs we were given permission to pay and claim back so we could use our own choice of funeral director. We have provided receipts for all costs claimed. But this company is doing their utmost to avoid paying. They take weeks to answer emails if they reply at all. We've had to resend documents that we know they've already got on file. The list goes on. I have made a formal complaint and am waiting until I can go to the ombudsman so we can be reimbursed the £10k we are owed. Avoid this company, and all the other Ancile Insurance products, which are all administered by Global Response. Reviewed on: 7th March 2023

NO COVER FOR CANCELLED FLIGHT

DO NOT USE. NO COVER IN PLACE FOR CANCELLED FLIGHT. I booked this insurance company for my 87 year old dad. His flight was cancelled and there is no cover in place. Now I have to complain to Ombudsman. DO NOT USE unless you have read the very long small print. This significant exclusion was never pointed out. BUYERS BEWARE. I like to speak to a call handler

After speaking to a couple of other travel insurance companies and hearing them inhale deeply and say they couldn’t help, I was worried, I phoned Good to go, declaring all my medical history as well as an operation due in the new year. I was very surprised at the price. Knowing I had declared everything,gave me complete peace of mind to relax and enjoy my holiday, whilst knowing if anything awful were to happen I would be ok.
