Although I have had problems setting up my online account, everyone I spoke to was polite and helped me to get the issue resolved. Feel that they understood what the problems were and were able to assist promptly and didn't feel like a call centre environment but more like a personal service. Reviewed on: 17th March 2026

New account for a WI group

I recently opened a new account for a WI group I belong to, as the bank we previously had an account with informed me the account was to be discontinued. They could not offer me an alternative account without us incuring high charges. Reviewed on: 16th March 2026

Children's savings account

I opened two savings accounts for my children. I love that i can still take them into a physical branch. It allows my children to appreciate actual money, rather than just online banking and transactions. The staff are brilliant with them and have been for a number of years. Excellent Customer Service

My husband and I have both opened ISA accounts with H&RBS recently and have been very impressed with the customer service they provided both in branch and by telephone.
