Claim paid in the end after a huge effort on my part

I recently had to cancel a holiday just 2 days before we were due to leave. Within a week I initiated a claim for those parts of the trip I could not cancel or get refunded, which was about £2.6k. I was constantly asked by the assessors to provide new documentation, and my GP had to complete a detailed medical declaration. In the end, after almost 3 months, my claim was met to the maximum available, which was £2k. So, in that sense the claim was successful. However, when they paid I was told I should declare ridiculous things that my GP mentioned, like the fact that I'd been to see her for a chest infection a year earlier. Or that I needed to declare blepharitis (sore eyes)! Or surgery to fix an inguinal hernia (a one off) more than a year earlier! So, my claim was paid, but it took a huge effort on my behalf. I felt the assessors were making things as difficult as possible in the hope I'd give up. Reviewed on: 24th August 2025

Travel insurance is not very easy to get when you've been diagnosed with Cancer. Even with very early stage Cancer. Even when you've had treatment for said Cancer! Insurancewith has enabled us to do some bucket list travel whilst we're still able. We hopefully will not need at use it but we've never travelled without insurance and we now have peace of mind. I have stage 4 cancer and was quoted funny money to insure me for 4 days 5 nights , I never took it and never got my self insured nearly £2000.00 , I was recommended to try insurancewith my quote for 8 nights 7 days including my husband insured was £118 . 00 , I am so glad that Fiona and her team are insuring people with illnesses and not making it a money making exercise for the business , I have recommended this company to my friends , keep up the good work Reviewed on: 10th August 2025
