Cancelling Policy Without enough warning

I have been asked for my V5 log book in my name. When I asked if the log book could be kept in my partners name customer service said they would have to get back to me. They should have told me at the time I would need to change it or my policy would be cancelled. Or they should have extended the cancellation period whilst i was make enquiries. I only received the cancellation letter 5 days before the cancellation of the policy was due to take place. 1 of these days being a Sunday when i was unable to call customer services. I do no believe this is along enough period to warn someone there policy is being cancelled. I rely on my car for work and without it I may have to give up my job as i will not be able to afford any more insurance with the heighten premium rate from having a policy cancelled. I was unaware that car was not actually in my name and this was an honest mistake when i took the policy out. I had already declared the accidents I have been involved in and am unsure as to how having the car in a different name make me more high risk to insure. I feel like insure you motor/my insurer have been very inflexible and unwilling to help even though I am trying to rectify the problem. Reviewed on: 16th May 2017

Good for advisors, not so good for policy

Been ok a few problems in the past, policy not matching what I took out, having me over a barrel for changing cars mid policy all the usual. Main problem being the amount of times I've had to chase to get documents. Still awaiting my no claims several weeks later due to an attempted 3rd party claim. Even after solicitor has stated claim dropped and no claim reinstated it's down to me to chase again and told it needs to go for review. What's to review if solicitor has stated in writing they've be reinstated?. Not keen on the lack of follow ups. Advisors on phone very friendly and helpful as always though. Direct debit date issue

Hi my name is Desmond ward I'm currently insuring an Astra vxr through yourselves AD57FWM I took the policy out the 13th April and paid a big deposit. Only to find out my direct debit was set up to collect the middle of the month and not the end aa I'm paid monthly. I called last week and didn't get any help basically untill I called up today. Had Daniel help me ext number 7084 who was really helpful and understanding as my monthly instalments are £164 a month which is a lot. He moved my direct debit date wivout An issue at all compared to the other colleague last week who said it was impossible to do and is also raising my phone call to b listened too so as I can have the other £40 charge lifted also which I think is rediculous. I will be calling back in the future and dealing through Daniel from now on. Brilliant professional bloke. Top marks from me Reviewed on: 18th May 2017
