Review of the Just Travel Cover, Travel insurance:

Good Quote, but rubbish customer service

I took out medical cover travel insurance for my husband for a cruise we were going on in December 2016. To keep the cost down I went for a policy with a £75 excess. My thinking for this was I would be more than happy to pay £75 if per chance he took unwell whilst on board ship. Part of the deal we had with the cruise company we had one night in a hotel in Barcelona. Hotel was based in La Ramblas and it was a good hotel. Never for one minute did I think my husband would have his backpack stolen whilst sitting in the Hotel restaurant! , but that is what happened. We had to replace the medication stolen. My claim was for £88.48, but with a £75 excess that left my claim total of £13.48. First they said they did not receive my paperwork, but would get someone to phone my back, which they never. Luckily I had proof the documents had been sent and when I phoned them back and said so, he presto they found my claim forms. Next they gave me back £9:05 so again i had to phone back and point out to them I had with my claim forms given proof by a copy of my credit card statement that I should have been given £13:48. I have just heard that they now acknowledge the underpayment, but I am still waiting on the £4:43 to hit my bank account. I also had non medical insurance with another company and was paid within one week. Will never use Just Travel again. Reviewed on: 12th February 2017

Excellent service

Owing to a cancellation of a holiday in July 2022 we had to cancel the insurance which we had taken out with Just Travel. This was done very quickly and was transferred with no problems to another holiday which we had booked. Have used Just Travel several times over the years and had no issues at all. Professional, prompt, easy to deal with.

Found them after being diagnosed with a minor illingual hernia. My existing travel insurer treated it as a major condition, even tho it hardly bothered me and doesn't bother me at all now. Got a better quote from Just Travel Cover than I had before the hernia. The UK based call centre staff are helpful and knowledgeable. As a deaf person I struggle with overseas call centres because of sometimes strong accents. Wouldn't go anywhere else. Reviewed on: 14th August 2022
