Good Quote, but rubbish customer service

I took out medical cover travel insurance for my husband for a cruise we were going on in December 2016. To keep the cost down I went for a policy with a £75 excess. My thinking for this was I would be more than happy to pay £75 if per chance he took unwell whilst on board ship. Part of the deal we had with the cruise company we had one night in a hotel in Barcelona. Hotel was based in La Ramblas and it was a good hotel. Never for one minute did I think my husband would have his backpack stolen whilst sitting in the Hotel restaurant! , but that is what happened. We had to replace the medication stolen. My claim was for £88.48, but with a £75 excess that left my claim total of £13.48. First they said they did not receive my paperwork, but would get someone to phone my back, which they never. Luckily I had proof the documents had been sent and when I phoned them back and said so, he presto they found my claim forms. Next they gave me back £9:05 so again i had to phone back and point out to them I had with my claim forms given proof by a copy of my credit card statement that I should have been given £13:48. I have just heard that they now acknowledge the underpayment, but I am still waiting on the £4:43 to hit my bank account. I also had non medical insurance with another company and was paid within one week. Will never use Just Travel again. Reviewed on: 12th February 2017

Efficient and competitively priced provider

I found the website easy to navigate making the process of getting a quote straightforward. The quote was competitively priced. I even received a code to get a further 10% off the price. Excellent insurance company

My husband has a rare autoimmune condition. We are avid cruisers. Despite having this condition and all its subsequent issues. Just Travel have never refused to insure him and at an extremely reasonable rate. If anyone asks for recommendations for travel insurance, I never fail to tell them about Just Travel. Price went up but still competative

I renewed via phone as I couldn't online for some reason. I got it for £10 more than the previous year even though I had a 10% off voucher. Probably down to an additional medical condition. Reviewed on: 3rd August 2022
