Good Quote, but rubbish customer service

I took out medical cover travel insurance for my husband for a cruise we were going on in December 2016. To keep the cost down I went for a policy with a £75 excess. My thinking for this was I would be more than happy to pay £75 if per chance he took unwell whilst on board ship. Part of the deal we had with the cruise company we had one night in a hotel in Barcelona. Hotel was based in La Ramblas and it was a good hotel. Never for one minute did I think my husband would have his backpack stolen whilst sitting in the Hotel restaurant! , but that is what happened. We had to replace the medication stolen. My claim was for £88.48, but with a £75 excess that left my claim total of £13.48. First they said they did not receive my paperwork, but would get someone to phone my back, which they never. Luckily I had proof the documents had been sent and when I phoned them back and said so, he presto they found my claim forms. Next they gave me back £9:05 so again i had to phone back and point out to them I had with my claim forms given proof by a copy of my credit card statement that I should have been given £13:48. I have just heard that they now acknowledge the underpayment, but I am still waiting on the £4:43 to hit my bank account. I also had non medical insurance with another company and was paid within one week. Will never use Just Travel again. Reviewed on: 12th February 2017

The best most reasonable travel insurance

After obtaining quotes from many different companies, we found that they were just not competitive and indeed priced themselves out completely. Admittedly, having both of us medical conditions made the quotes a little difficult, but lo and behold, Just Travel produced just what was required and at a extremely good price. Well done! Pre existing conditions travel insurance

If only everything was this straight forward!

Very positive experience with Just Travel Cover which was very refreshing. The staff were helpful, knowledgeable and efficient, and the policy offered good cover for a reasonable price. Obviously, the service provided if a claim is required results in the defining verdict on the policy, but hopefully their good service would remain if the need arises. Reviewed on: 3rd August 2022
