Good Quote, but rubbish customer service

I took out medical cover travel insurance for my husband for a cruise we were going on in December 2016. To keep the cost down I went for a policy with a £75 excess. My thinking for this was I would be more than happy to pay £75 if per chance he took unwell whilst on board ship. Part of the deal we had with the cruise company we had one night in a hotel in Barcelona. Hotel was based in La Ramblas and it was a good hotel. Never for one minute did I think my husband would have his backpack stolen whilst sitting in the Hotel restaurant! , but that is what happened. We had to replace the medication stolen. My claim was for £88.48, but with a £75 excess that left my claim total of £13.48. First they said they did not receive my paperwork, but would get someone to phone my back, which they never. Luckily I had proof the documents had been sent and when I phoned them back and said so, he presto they found my claim forms. Next they gave me back £9:05 so again i had to phone back and point out to them I had with my claim forms given proof by a copy of my credit card statement that I should have been given £13:48. I have just heard that they now acknowledge the underpayment, but I am still waiting on the £4:43 to hit my bank account. I also had non medical insurance with another company and was paid within one week. Will never use Just Travel again. Reviewed on: 12th February 2017

Pre-existing conditions can be covered

When you have a pre-existing condition, the process of purchasing a travel insurance policy can be very dauting and stressful. Before calling Just Travel Cover, I didn't know prices of travel insurance for people with pre-existing conditions could be reasonable. I must, however, note that I am not sure if the claim filing process is as seamless as the purchasing process. Reviewed on: 19th July 2023

Helpful information

We unexpectedly needed separate insurance for a seven day cruise, which wasn't covered by our annual travel insurance purchased earlier. The whole process of applying was very easy and any queries answered promptly. We will look to use them for our annual cover next year. Reviewed on: 19th July 2023

I have used the company for several years now their prices are extremely competitive and the policy are simply explained and easy to follow.
