Left without food money while on sick pay

took a personal loan in December. In March, Loans 2 Go took my first payment of £97.78 via Continuous Payment Authority (CPA) when there were no funds in my account, putting me into an unarranged overdraft for four days. I am on Statutory Sick Pay — my only income. I called to explain my financial hardship and requested a refund. They offered only 50% back and said it would take up to five working days. They can take money instantly, but apparently need five days to return half of it. Despite knowing I cannot afford food, they refused a full refund. My complaint has been escalated, but I’ve been told to wait up to 8 weeks for a resolution while I have nothing. If you are in financial difficulty, don’t expect this company to help. Interest rate is extortionate -

Interest rate is extortionate - wanted the first payment the day after loan received. No option to select last day of every month for repayments. Reviewed on: 7th June 2024
