LV - term life insurance

LV are my current main life insurance policy provider (as a type 1 diabetic I have more than one policy to cover other aspects). They were recommended as the main holder of the term life insurance I got from a broker and while they were not able to provide the full cover I required I have had no cause to fault them. I have fit involved in their community forum and even won one of their monthly prize draws for doing so. Reviewed on: 6th September 2026

Life insurance for type one diabetic

As a type one diabetic initialised a insurance broker to cover my life insurance needs. Lv were chosen as the main provider and I have not had any reason to question that choice. In fact I have won twice already using their active community feature that enters you into a draw. While perhaps there maybe cheaper alternatives I feel this was still a good decision for myself Reviewed on: 15th August 2026

BEWARE OF LV OVER 50'S INSURANCE SCAM. My elderly father has been paying £26.00 per month since 2009 on an over 50s Life Insurance policy starting with Asda insurance then taken over by LV insurance. Totalling £5200. I called them to change his address and was astounded to find the payout amount on death is £2044. You cannot cash this in and I am in the process of taking this to the media and financial ombudsman. Anyone else in the same position I welcome any advice. He may as well have used loan sharks. 120% profit from elderly people is scandalous. Predators! Reviewed on: 12th May 2026

I have life insurance and I received a phone call from a person saying he was one of your managers i was very busy and said so.The person pushed into phoning back even though i said I wasn’t interested.When he phoned back I said again I wasn’t interested in upping my policy.His reply was an absolute disgrace he said I had wasted his time and if I wanted to cancel my insurance to do it myself he wasn’t my slave and to spend my money on burritos!Absolutely disgraceful just because he couldn’t get any more money out of me.He sounded Indian to me!!!I have a good mind to cancel my policy.This man needs a good talking to!!
