Anyone who lives or works in Manchester, Tameside, Trafford, Rochdale, Stockport or High Peak and Bury can join Manchester Credit Union and apply for a loan.

Manchester Credit Union loans are available for up to £15,000. Members can clear the balance of a loan at any time and won’t be charged any early settlement fees.

I’ve had a really positive experience with Manchester Credit Union. The application process was straightforward and didn’t feel overwhelming, and I appreciated how clear everything was explained from the start. The staff were friendly, professional, and genuinely seemed to care about helping rather than just pushing a loan. The repayments were fair and manageable, which made a big difference compared to other lenders. Communication was good throughout, and any questions I had were answered quickly. I’m not usually good with managing money but it’s easy with credit union to get a loan and have it paid back automatically out of your benifit if you claim then u don’t have to worry about your repayments every month or week Reviewed on: 10th April 2026
