Poor customer service

Awful services for businesses. Incompetents and couldn't care less. I've waited for almost 2 months for them to get approved for BBL and test their product. In the first day, it failed. In the second day, I was approved and told the money would be in my account in 24 hours. On the 3rd day, they said they couldn't give me the money without an explanation. It took me 3 days to get in touch with someone to tell me. that they don't know why it was denied and I should send a letter in the post! I am switching now to a real bank, these (starting with the branch managers) are completely useless and incompetent puppets. Reviewed on: 15th June 2020

Thieves

My investment has matured on my one year investmwnt. Metro bank tells me I have to visit my branch even though I'm 78, disaabled and in lockdown. I have to open an internet bank account.which comes through the post! They are still holding on to my life's savings Utterly unacceptable Don't go any where near this bank.To add to the misery everyone of the seven people I spoke to was rude and aggressive Appalling Reviewed on: 6th June 2020

Metro Bank fail to show flexibility and forbearance in response to Covid-19 crisis

I have a 5 year fixed rate buy-to-let mortgage at 3.59% with Metro Bank which expires in August this year. My tenants who have been at the property for 4 years asked if they could pay £600 less per month because they have both lost work since outbreak of Covid-19. I agreed to this because I'm listening to the government's message that it is incumbent on all of us to support our fellow citizens during this crisis. I asked Metro Bank if I could leave my mortgage 4 months early to move to a mortgage rate which is half the rate I'm currently paying and would allow me to continue to provide a roof over my tenants heads. Metro Bank told me I would have to pay £2,307.55 in early redemption charges. I asked if this could be waived and they refused. I am very, very disappointed. Metro Banks's response is definitely not in the spirit of flexibility and support which the government has called upon us to demonstrate. I sent an email to the Metro Bank Chief Executive Daniel Frumkin and the reply was definitely not from him. Shame on Metro Bank that they would prefer to continue to make money from me at a higher interest rate at the expense of keeping a roof over the heads of vulnerable tenants. Our first mortgage

We applied for our first shared ownership mortgage. Metro were recommended to us through our housing association. They were brilliant from the start go! I was totally out of the loop as this was my first time doing anything like this but they made me feel at ease talked me through Step by step and we got there in the end.
