The interest rate on this account is variable and the money is locked away until the child is 18. The account can be opened with £500 and requires a minimum monthly contribution of £10.

A brilliant JISA

I set up a Junior Isa for our newborn daughter a few weeks after she was born. My brain was a fuzzy mess at that point, but the process of setting up the JISA was simple enough that I could complete it easily. Moneyfarm also provide a set of instructions that can be copied and pasted for grandparents, other family members, or friends who would like to contribute to the child's savings. This made it much easier to tell others how they could invest. The dashboard has made it easy to see how my daughter's investment is growing, and the charges are the lowest I could find for the kind of investment we were looking for. All said, this is a fantastic product that I'd recommend to anyone saving for their children's future. Reviewed on: 30th January 2024
