Best App of it's kind, by a long way

5
A brilliant, well thought-out and user friendly app, with tonnes of clever features. It just works. From parent and child logins, the card security settings, lightening quick notifications, the chores, the flexibility on how to approach pocket money management, the attractive UX and design. I could go on. The card is very cleverly designed with the details on the back (knowing that kids like to take pictures and put them on social media) and it also has a dynamic cvv. The collateral that comes with card is beautifully presented (even my 8 year old daughter said so), and it's genuinely interesting and useful material, not just a book full of T&Cs that ends up in the recycling. The company clearly cares about what the parents are trying to achieve with their kids, and the product/service reflects that and keeps it front and center. Which is something a lot get wrong. Finally, it has virtually the lowest overall annual cost/fees of all its competitors. Free deposits, free ATM withdrawals, free online purchases, free foreign currency transactions (up to £50) and even a free replacement card if it's lost or stolen. Unbeatable value. Fantastic

Rooster is an amazing way to introduce money management to even the youngest children. My children are 4, 5 and 7 and this app makes it easy for them to see how much money they have. My 5 and 7 year old are already thinking more carefully about how and when they spend what they have and are making decisions on their own as to whether they want something enough to use up all their spend money on it. Rooster was also a great way for my 7 year old to save up for the mp3 player he wanted. We don't tend to agree with doing chores for money, however, it this a great feature for them to earn a bit extra occasionally by doing a job such as sweeping the leaves in the garden or, when they are older, washing the cars. As they get older I will definitely be looking at getting them the card option. All in all a great App. I spent such a long time looking for banks that would allow very young children to have an account to no avail. With Rooster I have no immediate need to find one. In an age where many people don’t really carry cash this app is perfect for what we wanted. A place where the children can set goals and I have the ability to add and remove money. Reviewed on: 3rd April 2021

Brilliant for kids

The rooster app is so simple and easy to use for both the parent and the child. I use this for my 10 yr old and he has the app and the card. I can easily set and approve chores and approve pocket money and see his purchases in real time. He uses his app to confirm he has done each chore and it gives him advice on spending and saving. Would and have thoroughly recommend to friends with kids. Reviewed on: 3rd April 2021
