Independent Spending for Kids with their Rooster Accts

My two children have Rooster bank accounts and we all find the app very easy to use. The kids love having their independence using their bank cards whilst out shopping. My older son particularly enjoys now he can use apple pay. Family and Friends paying birthday/christmas gifts are happy to send money over to the family pot which I then send over. I love the fact I can track what my children are spending & where. It comes up as a notification in my phone. I also love how easy it is to send them money and the security protection of the daily spending limit. Reviewed on: 18th February 2026

I have been with natwest for 30 years

I have been with natwest for 30 years and I've found them fantastic from the start. I can phone or pop into my local branch and their always helpful. When my daughter's were old enough for a bank card I saw the rooster card advertised and thought that's the one and haven't regretted it. It's quick and easy to set up and easy for me to transfer money direct from my bank into their account. I can use it to reward them for doing their chores by listing what chores they can do and reward them once they are done along with pocket money or birthday money ect. When it comes to birthdays or Christmas family are able to transfer money easily into the girls accounts if they wish. Natwest have been shown care when I had my fraud allert on my bank when someone tried to get my money. Natwest sent me a text immediately asking the transaction was me or not a d to press Y/N and within seconds of pressing N (no) they were on the phone to me and blocked my card/bank immediately to stop anything going out of my bank.
