The Rooster card gives my 12 year old son room to make his own financial decisions while still allowing parental overview. Having to generate a fresh CVV via the parent account for every purchase ensures he can't go far wrong! Reviewed on: 6th March 2026

All good, kids love it. Works smoothly and great that it comes free to existing Nat west customers. We wish the custom cards were not an extra fee though. Kids also love the app which is quite easy to iuse for kids. I think that’s about it. Reviewed on: 6th March 2026

The Perfect First Step into Money Management for Kids

NatWest Rooster Money has been fantastic for our son. It’s a brilliant way to teach children about saving, spending and managing money in a way that’s fun and easy to understand. The app is simple to use, and we love being able to set pocket money, track spending and encourage savings goals. It’s helped our son become much more aware of the value of money and has given him a real sense of responsibility. It’s a great tool for helping children build good financial habits from a young age.
