Actually Zero Stars Avoid this company! I got fined £55 for a policy that never even started! "Read the T&C's" apparently! Although they don't mention: 'If they don't agree the 'Agreed Valuation Declaration' price (after the policy has been bought) then there is a hidden fee to cancel the policy! Ripping pensioners off

Writing this on behalf of my pensioner dad in law who had auto renewal car insurance with performance direct 2022 was £400 and 2023 was an unbelievable £958 tell me that’s not totally scamming your customers Reviewed on: 14th June 2023

To my surprise the girl on the phone, said there would be a price increase, i was expecting just a few pounds, but to my shock and horror, it was an extra £115 because i don't park on a drive, and another £50 admin fee, but its ok to park on a busy supermarket car park or drive on the road with thousands of other road users, i won't be insuring my car with these thieves again. Appalling company

They seek to look for any possible way of getting more money from you once you start the policy. They query your job position, when you bought the car, ask for evidence. Its ludicrous. Then inform you its £55 to cancel. I'm within my 14 days cooling off and they can keep my initial payment and won't be getting anymore! Stay clear Reviewed on: 9th March 2023

Just right

Remember these guys are usually coming in significantly cheaper than others on the comparison sites that you are directed to from places like Autotrader, so they are going to be busy and usually people tend to leave reviews when something upsets them. My personal remote "online" interactions with them have been good thus far. I'm a careful considerate driver and have a heap of NCB so don't expect to be needing to contact them "fingers crossed" . The saving was great and the process of getting cover was pain free. Reviewed on: 10th February 2023

Not recommeded .bad communication. terrible service.

Took out car insurance they were the cheepest quote on Quote zone Did everything correct to the best of my abbility. Paid £607 upfront 14 days later got a email telling me to get in contact withPerformance direct . I called was redirected and waited 20 minits . I redailed and told them no one was answering my call they told me they would re direct me they said I was number 1 in the quew I waited 15 minits . They answerd and checked by information. the said I had said I bought the car in 2018 I told no I bought the cat in2021 and I had the log book changed when I bought the car. I told them to change the information on the year . They then told me they wanted £400 + and then they said I had quoted 10.000 miles ayear . I told them It was an estimate. It worked out I was doing 12.000 ayear . I had to cancel , and go with a new compony . The told me they would refound me £490 in 3/5 days . I told them on the phone the were turning me over . Charge you money for cancelling your policy

Don't be fooled by the cheap rates. I sold my van and called to cancel my monthly direct debit policy - they told me I had to pay £240 outstanding balance as another company "Premium Credit' "paid my insurance for the year and I'm paying them back". If that's the case Performance Direct should be paying Premiium credit for the months I didn't use. All my years driving, I've NEVER came across anything like that. if you cancel, the DD should END. Frustrated

I tried to change the car I own but getting through to somebody and then not being put on hold and disconnected is almost impossible. Furthermore with 4 months left on the policy I was told but I was not entitled to a refund. The new policy they wanted me to take out was more than twice what I obtained online.Avoid. SCAMMERS

I took out a policy. Two weeks later (after the 14 day cool off), they sent me an email telling me that my policy is being cancelled. I contacted them and they told me they'd noticed that I'd obtained quotes in the past stating a different career. I told them what I had entered was correct, but they asked for a contract of employment. This is a data protection breach!!! I'm now faced with a £55 cancellation fee as per all the other customers who have given such reviews Reviewed on: 4th August 2022
