My Tenancy Sustainment Team use this tool everyday to complete benefit assessments, pre-tenancy affordability checks and more. The calculator is always bang up to date with the latest Regulations and when I have submitted feedback to the Policy in Practice team they have actioned our requests to tailor the calculator to suit us. This tool is a basis for most of our work and has helped so many customers understand their benefits in plain English and broken down in a way that is transparent. Gloucester City Homes love it! Great features, but untrustworthy results

Policy in Practice's Better Off Calculator has the potential to be the best product of its kind, allowing even for complex calculations such as those involving student income. However, occasionally the calculation results are wildly incorrect. While I am able to recognise this as a trained benefit adviser, I worry for members of the public who may trust the results.
