Good choice of high interest paying accounts

Gives a good choice of highest paying easy access, notice and fixed rate bonds a/c's. There is a delay, usually 2-3 days from closure/maturity of accounts to getting the money for re-investment or withdrawal, which I don't like, but it is not usually a problem unless there is a time limit to invest in another bond a/c etc. Reviewed on: 30th March 2025

Raisin will hold your money as hostage.

Raisin, an entirely online banking service, makes it extremely difficult to withdraw the funds I unfortunately deposited with them. They want a statement from my current checking account, which I sent them. Now they want a statement for an account that was closed two years ago, which I cannot obtain. In addition these two statements, they want me to get a notarized proof of my identity and snail mail it, along with a form, to their headquarters. They give no clue before opening the account that it is next to impossible to withdraw my money. Reviewed on: 28th March 2025
