Review of the RateSetter, Loans:

The Financial Ombudsman have upheld multiple complaint about this firm

How surprising, given the high number of complaints about this firm (look for Retail Money Market Limited on the Financial Ombudsman Website) that there are SOOOO many super positive reviews....On another note, back in 2014 The FCA was warning that some P2P platforms were manipulating reviews on review sites. This is a bad review, it's also genuine. Ratesetter is a terrible business model, and is terrible to do business with. The P2P scandal is widely covered now in multiple court cases and forums, I appreciate that the first thing that will happen after this review is posted is that the Smart Money People will get an email from Ratesetter Legal telling them to take down my review, it's happened on other review sites, but I can back up this bad and truthful review with plenty of evidence. What Metrobank were doing buying this firm in a six week negotiation during lock down, and what due diligence they did is one question I would ask. There will be many more questions asked as The FCA whistleblower case of relating to P2P rumbles on. But to quote directly from that, P2P had 'Ponzi Like" practises... fair simple & clear process

Cancelled so many loan applications before coming accross ratesetter. From start to finish- they made it a straightfirward , clear & simple easy process. Their afents were polite, clearly spoken English ( a rare treat these days) & it went through wuickly- most of all with fair interest rates! Reviewed on: 11th April 2023

Loans made easy

At first I thought my experience with Ratesetter was too good to be true! Easy loan application, fair interest rates and even an early payback options. I’ve enjoyed being a Ratesetter customer, as I don’t receive lots of junk emails/mail asking me to take out further loans, yet they do send me statements to keep me up to date with how much I owe. It is easy to log in online and view my account information. I feel like a valued customer due the fact that I am not constantly hounded to take out more loans. Lack clarity

I always hesitate and feel anxious when applying for loans because I have a fear of rejection even though I know I'm good for the loan, but ratesetter came out tops for alleviating my fears. Personal Loan - Great Service

I took out a personal loan with RateSetter to help me buy a car. The process was smooth, straightforward and couldn't recommend them more. The interest was a little higher than I would have liked, but it was fixed, so no surprises on my loan and I could repay part or all of my loan whenever I like.
