Revolut is an e-money institution which means you can take out an everyday account to manage your money in a range of ways.

You can send, spend, receive and hold a range of currencies. Customers get a physical debit card for everyday spending, a virtual card and a single-use virtual card that resets its details each time you use it.

Use for Finances & App Software

For managing finances, the platform is highly effective, particularly due to its analytics tools for budgeting and its intuitive, user-friendly interface. However, the budgeting feature would benefit from improved transaction categorisation. In particular, transfers to individuals are often misclassified, which reduces the accuracy of spending insights. Revolut could improve this functionality by excluding peer-to-peer transfers from the categorisation system and limiting categories to commercial retailers (such as Tesco or Morrisons). This refinement would enable users to track spending more accurately and manage their finances more effectively. Reviewed on: 24th January 2026

Revolut Makes Everyday Banking Easy

I’ve been using Revolut for my personal banking and it’s been a great experience overall. The app is fast, intuitive, and packed with useful features like instant notifications, budgeting tools, and easy international transfers. I especially like the ability to manage everything from my phone and exchange currencies at competitive rates. Customer support has been responsive when I needed help, and the security features give me peace of mind. Revolut has made everyday banking simpler and more convenient for me.
