How many people recieved redress settlements in mid to late December?

This company miss sold me loans over a number of years. Last June i opened a case against them. In which it took 6 months to finally reach a significant settlement. Little did i and i assume a lot of other people knew was that they were going to the wall. And as if by magic afyet agreeing the settlement just before Xmas, they go into administration in the first full working week of 2023. What a sham. I can imagine hundreds of people lile myself recieved the same redress email. What we didnt know is these cowboys had absolutely no intention of settling. Reviewed on: 16th January 2023

AVOID AT ALL COSTS!

This company is in its last days and it’s working some form of scam. Between 2013-2016 I took loans with SafetyNet which should never have been allowed, recently I have a complaint upheld in which they owed me just under £2,000 in interest/charges, compensation and interest from the that period. They are no refusing to pay me back my money after several weeks stating ‘no timeframe’ for repayment and that I shouldn’t send to the financial ombudsman because they will pay. They blamed ‘illness’ before Christmas, now they are blaming the ‘festive period’ for the delays and no timeframe. But after some time I found from someone in their customer service that they are preparing for administration and will likely never pay me back for the complaint. During such an awful time where so many people are struggling it’s incredible that they would literally go out of their way to delay paying back to people they owe, hoping that the administration process will kick in and they won’t have to. I’ve never seen something so heartless. Reviewed on: 9th January 2023

Complaint

Complaint with SafetyNet … I’ve raised a complaint with SafetyNet Credit and legally they had 8 weeks to look into it and provide me with an outcome. 7 weeks, 6 days and 23 hours later I got an email saying they are still looking into it. Whenever I’m contacting them, their answer is the same. Luckily I’ve been advised to report it to Financial Ombudsman what I did, fingers crossed they will help Reviewed on: 20th July 2022

Unless you can work out how to get out of this maze with no exit, ie understand how to repay, as fast as you can, then just please don't use this company ! I have asked for repayment of overpayment, I have put in an affordability complaint as my circumstances changed . The response ? Your debt of £750 can be paid at £350 !!! SERIOUSLY SHOCKING, very distressing, IHAVE PAID £2022 !!! Reviewed on: 31st May 2022

Dreadful experience laddened with lies and inexperienced staff.

1
Dreadful Company. Contacted company 6 times as my account wasn’t working with them properly. Was never told the same thing twice and when staff was questioned they either said they didn’t know the answer or when somebody would get back to me. I would never use again. I would avoid at all cost. Reviewed on: 2nd April 2019

Poor Product, Does the opposite it says on the tin

Increase credit limit despite struggling to live month to month. How would this company know that unless you tell them? Oh yeah they can view your online banking. Clearly they wish to ignore all the negative stuff so just increase your credit limit. Payday Predators Reviewed on: 4th September 2018
