Card renewal - bad practice

2 male operatives didn't give the correct information and the female operative tried her best but her boss has not deemed my complaint important enough to get back to me. I received a letter from Saga stating my credit card had expired and to ring them with new details. On giving the details of my card, immediate payment for my car insurance was taken from my bank account.At no time was I told this would happen and no one would cancel the payment which was not due for 3 another 3weeks. I was told to cancel it through my bank .They told me the payment was ",pending "so it couldn't be done and to go back to Saga. This practice should be made clear in their letter or by the operative before taking my card details. It has caused me financial embarrassment and disappointment as well 2hrs on the phone trying to deal with this..I will not be renewing my insurance with Saga next year for sure Reviewed on: 25th April 2023

Experience has taught me Saga is the one for me

We had one of our cars stolen from our drive early i...

We had one of our cars stolen from our drive early in the evening despite having security cameras and a steering lock. Saga were very supportive and talked us through the process for an insusrance claim. To our surprise we were offered far more than we were expecting plus several items in the car swhich we had receipts for - i.e. my husband's walker. Excellent company and I would thoroughly recommend them. We also have home and buildings insurance with them as well. Reviewed on: 14th August 2025

Brilliant ohone service.

Great Advisors at the end of the Telephone Line

I never have issues with SAGA - their advisors give clear and concise information and always do their best to understand your needs. Their renewal letters explain the cover perfectly and I like the fact they show what I paid last year too, so you understand what the new policy costs in terms of increase/decrease in premiums.
