All policies have an uninsured driver promise protecting your no claims discount and no excess to pay if you're hit by an uninsured driver. Depending on the policy, there are extras you can add on to the policy to provide more protection.

Review of the Saga, Car insurance:

Very disappointing!!!! Wont ever use again!!!!

I offered my home and car insurance to Saga, purely by accident , but as a young 65 year old thought they’d offer a good deal. But how wrong was I. Absolute no support on a car scrape I had, apparently I had clicked on ‘voluntary excess’ and ‘excess of £150’ which meant I had an excess of £500 , which didn’t cover the cost so it did don’t cover any costs! They couid not explain what ‘voluntary’ was? I didn’t therefore claim anything but when renewal was due, my costs increased from £250 to £530! When queried, they said I’d made two claims !! Neither of which is taken up! Would not use them again! Reviewed on: 23rd April 2025

Never had a problem with changing my policy

Never had a problem with changing my policy to asking questions. Customer service is excellent with calling back when said they would. And bonus is your quote last for 3 years at a time. Definitely recommend this company. Reviewed on: 4th October 2025
