cheap quote.

Easy to deal with. They offered unlimited time in mainland europe so don't need to worry about going over 30 days Reviewed on: 2nd August 2017

watch out £50 fee to end early

3
changed my car, saga wanted to double my insurance. In order to cancel the policy I got charged a £50 admin fee. (yes, it was in the print, but I consider that excessive and won't use them again). It was still cheaper to pay the fee and take out insurance with another company Reviewed on: 18th July 2017

Car accident

I recently had a car accident, I was turning right when a young driver overtook me and crashed into my car. I am now informed that I am 30% to blame. Apparently as you are turning right, as well and noticing oncoming traffic and the road you are turning into, you need to be looking into your rear view mirror. As a driver of almost 50 years experience and with no previous claims, i know that this is impossible to do. I have only been blessed with one pair of eyes. However, my insurance company knows better. So, if you are reading this, beware, when actually in the process of turning right you need to be looking in three different directions at once. Also, the other driver immediately admitted liability both to me and to my insurance company. Doesn't matter. I am still 30% at fault. Reviewed on: 15th July 2017

They won't let go

Initial quote was low, but the renewal was way high, when challenged the reposted was well price isn't everything." Really?" Reviewed on: 4th July 2017

Dont fit a safety device

I have had quote from SAGA in the past and they have always been reasonable but not the cheapest. I recently had rear parking sensors fitted and they quoted £500 more because if manufacturers modifications. Make your own mind up. instead of SAGAs £740 I paid £294. Reviewed on: 8th June 2017

Feel ripped off

2
Took out Saga home insurance at a special rate for first year - just got my letter to renew - couldn't believe it - gone up from £22.23 to £68.36!! More than tripled. Went on to a price comparison site and put in details of my cover and lo and behold Saga quoted £34.30 - what a rip off, when I rang Saga to complain I was told there was a £20.00 arrangement fee. They were very unhelpful and spoke to me as if I was stupid. Needless to say I got a better quote and have taken that up and cancelled with Saga. Reviewed on: 11th May 2017

Great price

Always the lowest price for me- well well below £200 for fully comp- protected. Reviewed on: 27th February 2017

Great cashback offer

I was with Admiral last year and they were great but they hiked their price right up on renewal. I phoned up to see if they could price match Saga but they couldn't, so now I am 50+ I qualify for Saga insurance. I have changed over to Saga and also got £36 cash back through a cash back web site, so if the cash back tracks ok it will be a great deal, providing their service is good. Reviewed on: 27th February 2017

Great customer service

5
I've had my policy with Saga for more than 5 years and I have never had a problem dealing with customer service, today I needed to change my policy documents twice as the garage I was buying a new car from lost my private registration documents. Saga were Great , they issued another policy in the old registration number and will change it back once my documents are replaced and completed correctly by the garage. And all foc as they fully understand my prediciment. great service Reviewed on: 2nd December 2016

Useless questions and refused to change address

1
I phoned after moving house and they refused to change their records unless I sent them copies of my driving licence and V5. I checked with the ombudsman and this is not a requirement under the law, but the immediate change of address notification is. They are therefore making me drive illegally and have themselves committed an illegal act-BEWARE! Reviewed on: 30th November 2016
