About Shepherds Friendly

Shepherds Friendly is a modern-day mutual organisation owned by members not shareholders.

Shepherds Friendly was established on Christmas Day in 1826 when several groups came together to create a mutually beneficial society. The aim was to provide financial security to members unable to work due to sickness or injury.

Today, Shepherds Friendly have a range of protection and investment products including ISAs, Bonds, over 50s life insurance and income protection cover.

Shepherds Friendly's website feels old compared to other options - both the established companies and the more modern app-based competitors. Although its bonus based approach offers more stability than other Stocks and Shares ISA, it does mean that the return is lower (however, you are more protected from downturns). Overall, this product is a good option if you want a pot of 'safe' money whilst also saving through the more risky options. Read more Read less

    Superb Company to deal with

    I have found Shepherds Friendly to be contactable and efficient with dealing with any issues I may have, and they don’t text email or telephone...     Had this stocks-shares-isa for 6 years now but 2% return these days? Not good enough

    I will be phoning shepherds friendly in the next few days as this is not good enough these days. Other ISA's I have perform over twice as good as this.

    Avoid

    This company will do everything possible not to pay out ,I had a fall in work ,dislocated my shoulder broke the socket shoulder blade and... This company will do everything possible not to pay out ,I had a fall in work ,dislocated my shoulder broke the socket shoulder blade and upper arm ,7 months into my claim, and still no money ,5 hour operation a week in hospital and 7 months recovering and still being treated like I'm lying about injuries, joke of a company.
