Don't Bother

I would have highly recommended the cashback credit cards for the fee free spending worldwide and the 0.5% cashback on spending (and did to many friends who signed up) but since the introduction of £5.99 monthly fee, I wouldn't bother. It would only be useful for a very small number of people. They don't value their customers, if you don't sign up to the new fee, your credit card will be cancelled rather than having the option to move to a fee free product. Other disadvantages include low credit limits, poor app, now Apple pay, no joint card holders. There are better credit card products out there now. Reviewed on: 17th January 2020

Rubbish

They gave me a credit card, but would not give me a savings account. I can borrow but not save. Then the announcement about the charges. Bye bye. Reviewed on: 15th January 2020

Good while it lasted.

The cashback card is a great product and useful app with the instant notifications, however it will not be around much longer as Tandem patronisingly announced their 'exciting news' for a £6 a month fee from March with few added bonuses that are available for free elsewhere. Bait and switch

Pay £6 pm or get lost is their attitude to existing customers.

Slow to respond on the app, if you speak to two different advisors you will get two different answers and now they want £6 pm for the privilege! Reviewed on: 14th January 2020

£5.99 from March Disgusting

For the last 12 months tandem have promised Apple Pay yet still nothing has come of it now to be told from March 2020 they are going to charge £5.99 per month for membership. Such a shame because the company has such potential Reviewed on: 13th January 2020

Was good

Was a great credit card, with the app providing instant spend notifications. Sadly after nearly 2 years they've given customers the option of a £6 monthly fee (admittedly with some extras) or the account is terminated. While the Fintechs are innovative, this appears at the cost of stability that traditional banks can offer. Reviewed on: 10th January 2020

Thanks for nothing

I have been a loyal customer for two years, this week told I had to pay £70 per year or have my account closed. Reviewed on: 9th January 2020

Used to be good

Up until a few days ago this would have been a 5* review - the card had everything for it, it was almost perfect: Mastercard (so accepted virtually everywhere), good for overseas spending, a bit of cashback, Google Pay support and great customer service. The only downside was you couldn't have a secondary card holder. Over the past year I've sung the praises of this card to family and friends, and to perfect strangers too! But now according to their recent announcement its a case of pay £5.99 per month (£11.98 for a couple!) for a set of useless "benefits" or say goodbye. 0% interest is of no use to anyone who pays off their bill in full and the 1.5% savings account sounds good, until you realise you'd have to have almost £5k on deposit just to earn back the monthly fee (doubled for a couple remember....no secondary cardholders). The numbers just don't stack up, so sadly come March it'll be goodbye from me. Reviewed on: 9th January 2020
