After having substandard service from several banking institutions over the years who have fallen into complacency, I was so relieved to find a bank that makes the whole process of opening and managing accounts straightforward and removes frustration. I changed my business account to Starling Bank after being fed up with the exorbitant fees charged by the conventional banks. I was a bit anxious about using a wholly online bank but after researching I decided to go ahead and make the change. I have not regretted it for a single moment. No complicated forms or systems. I think the Starling Business Account I have signed up to is a much better package than the RBS one I was with for 10 years. The app is slick, user friendly and feels like someone in the development side of it has actually listened to what the customer wants/needs and implemented it. I had a little bit of trouble during set up due to my inept IT skills but the customer service agent sorted it out quickly and professionally and I wasn't on hold for 40 minutes before someone blamed COVID for the long wait. Overall, I couldn't be happier with the service so far and let's be honest, we are talking about a bank here. As long as they don't lose your money, that's a good thing. Starling is better than that and I would not hesitate in telling my friends to move from the old school banks. Reviewed on: 22nd January 2021
