East to use and I can keep an eye on what my kids r spending on and have control to help learn them! I have my friends kids having it to and enjoy helping them have a bit of freedom Reviewed on: 16th March 2023

An efficient, easy system that promotes independence and budget skills

5
My 16 year old son uses Starling Kite, it is easy to add funds to his account using the app. Typically it's a phone call "Mum, I haven't got enough bus money, help!" and I can top up the bus fare instantly. It also gives me visibility on where he is and where he is spending his money which I like, it makes me smile when the alert pops up on my phone "Frankie spent £3.15 at Greggs" and I know he is with his friends after school, and will still come home hungry and asking what's for tea. He's about to start a part time job and ready for the move to his next Starling account in his own name and next steps in independence. Reviewed on: 16th March 2023

As intuitive as all their award winning accounts

Satisfied Grandson

I opened a Kite Account for Grandson's pocket money when he was 12. He makes great use of the account, and, has acquired a "sensible" approach to money, saving for things which he would like to buy. Very happy with the product. Reviewed on: 16th March 2023

Easy to set up, easy to use and kids love the idea of having their own bank account and card. Reviewed on: 16th March 2023

Straightforward for parents and kids to use

My daughter has now progressed to her own bank account with Starling, but the idea of 'saving' some of her money was firmly installed with her Kite app. My son (user from around 10 or 11) is able to check his balance before trying to spend money in the shop. Gives him great independence, but we can also see what he's spent, where. Reviewed on: 16th March 2023

excellent and simple, but there is one drawback

I do believe this is the best kids banking app bar none HOWEVER now my daughter is 15 and is out and about wtih her friends, we have a very signifiant problem. She cannot pay for anything at all at an establishment where alcohol is served. Nothing from supermarkets and most cafes. Huge limitation. Can something not be done about that? Before long Ill have to move her to a different app unfortunatley. Reviewed on: 16th March 2023
