Avoid Starling Bank they don't let you use your own... Avoid Starling Bank they don't let you use your own money by stopping you transferring it between your own accounts and also returned a £20 direct deb... Read more Reviewed on: 21st August 2026

I have had an account for a couple years and I have watched other banks fade away. When I joined Starling, I signed up through the application on my phone. It was very easy. I confirmed my identity online, with somethey help me via live chat. I can upload cheques to my account. When I am a little out of pocket, I find a few spare pennies that have been automatically saved for me with each purchase. Starling is progressive and targets the current age and that is wonderful. Older people seem to get left behind in the times. This encourages them to adapt and embrace them. It welcomes them into the new age. Reviewed on: 5th March 2021

Excellent on line app, I have all I need at my finger tips, the account pays interest and has a separate space to manage my bills, I used to have two accounts with another provider to do this. I can manage my card setting in app. I can even change the logo background and color setting of the app. All round excellent and I don’t often say that. Reviewed on: 17th January 2022

If you truly fed up with banking through old fashioned way then Starling Bank is the bank or you! Simple to set up and once your in maintaining your monies couldn't easier. Saving areas which can be personalised is one of my favourite things you can do. All in all - if you want a bank that takes forever to do things stay with the high street banks... BUT I'd you want a simple, fast growing and super reliable bank use Starling. Reviewed on: 17th January 2022

Honest banking

The overall banking system itself is very good, customer service are there for there customers. I nearly lost £500 to a fraudulent dishonest merchant with the evidence that prove my dispute against the fraudsters starling bank recoverd my £500, from those rouge fraudulent traders.
