Finally a great bank..!

When did a bank actually ever do what it says on the tin? Well in my opinion Starling does. My wife and I have individual accounts in GBP and Euros, plus a joint account. It’s too simple for words, everything always works, the fx rates are very competitive and we have full transparency on all our transactions and savings. Just brilliant! A breath of fresh air to Banking

I'm astounded by how good Starling is. The process of opening the account in the app was simple. The app is fantastic. I can already tell they are going to be MUCH better than my previous/current business bank - HSBC, who by comparison are cumbersome. out of touch and in the Dark Ages !!! Never too late to change....

I changed to a Starling current account two years ago after I was widowed, and had to look at my financial situation in a new light. I previously held accounts with two high street banks, but increasingly felt isolated as a customer. More to the point, neither of them offered the easy in app financial management tools or the current account interest rate that Starling does. To be honest, it was refreshing to be in at the beginning of an exciting new banking venture as I navigated my new life. I do feel like I’m flying in a murmuration of starlings, exhilarating but with safety in the numbers around me. Who would believe that banking could be fun! Reviewed on: 19th January 2020

What modern banking should be like

Instant notifications about spending, easy access to see the balance, no international card payment fees (also easy to see the amount in GBP instantly) and something that I absolutely love - SPACES to put money aside, creating as many pots as needed and easy to track the progress. Also great customer service. In my old bank (Barclays) contacting someone to ask questions was almost impossible, here there’s an easy to use chat and messaging system. Also it’s all entirely online - with Barclays even though I have chosen the online statement options I still get tons of junk via post encouraging me to get their credit card with incredibly high interest rate - definitely not what I need. So easy to use!

It was so easy to open an account on line and it has a great app for android phones. Messages you within seconds of you using your card, with the relevant transaction details. Best bank I've ever been with! Reviewed on: 19th January 2020
