Recommendation

A number of years ago i got into debt. Without the help of stepchange i wouldnt have known which way to turn. The help and advise they gave helped me to get my debts under control. Saved my life

I suffered from a mental breakdown and was subsequently unfairly dismissed on the pretext of redundancy. I was thrown into a terrible state as I had financial commitments I could not meet. Citizens advise put me in touch with Step Change. All options on how to move forward were explored with me. Once we found a way to move forward Step Change took care of everything. We worked out a budget and what I had left to pay my creditors. I make a monthly payment by direct debit and Step Change do everything else for me and they deal with my creditors directly. This has given me the chance to recover from my illness and I am now seeking employment. It is not an exaggeration to say they saved my life. The people they employ are so well trained and seemed to understand the difficulties I was facing and they were so supportive. In control of my debt

After my income dropped by a large amount, I was really struggling to cope with my outgoings. Life was becoming very difficult and stressful. From the first time I contacted StepChange, it was such a relief; a huge weight had been lifted from my shoulders.
