Peace of Mind

About 5 years ago I was made redundant from a senior management role. I have a daughter with very serious heart conditions and struggled to find work that would pay enough to keep on top of things, but give me work life balance. Consequently I ended up in huge debt, defaulting on loans and finance deals etc that had previously been affordable. After a couple of years the stress of being in debt and taking pay day loans and getting further in debt was unbearable! When I contacted Step Change they immediately made me feel like there was light at the end of the tunnel and came up with a realistic repayment plan! I still have a few years to go until myself and my family are debt free, but I no longer worry about it and know that we will eventually clear our debts, whilst still being able to feed and clothe my loved ones without getting further into debt!! A weight off of my shoulders!

I can’t tell you how my life has changed since contacting Step Change. The staff are helpful, non-judgemental, and made me feel completely at ease. I still have my debts but I know each month they are reducing and I can once again open my post without dreading what I’m going to find. There is a plethora of helpful information on the website, but if I need to I can call and speak to someone or email a question. Give you peace of mind
